The making of Hamedullah: The Road Home – video

Unheard Voices interviews UK director and screenwriter Sue Clayton about her latest documentary  Hamedullah: The Road Home and the insights it gave her into the asylum system.

Clayton talks about the making of the documnetary and about what she learned about the deportation of asylum seekers. She tells us about the UKBA’s use of ‘ghost’ private charter flights to deport asylum seekers to Afghanistan.

It’s all done in the middle of the night in the dark by a private charter company, secret charter, secret flight, secret back end of the cargo division. They’re human, not commodoties.
